I corresponded with someone who says she is her sister and that the story was reported on Channel 13 in Daytona Beach. I have been trying to find an obit since the MySpace page was changed. I have her ID, but have had no luck tracking down verification.

I have had my doubts all along, since I could find no proof, but gave the source the benefit of the doubt. Sophie is/was not all that well known, so there was little to be gained by a hoax.

I tried the agent and await a response. I was also hoping that posting this rumor would lead to some response....





If it occurred in Volusia County..either VCSO would have a coroners report...and since it was vehicular incident FHP would also have a report as well.

everything is on the net now.....so these types of events dont happen.
