+1 - if this chem'd out story is even true then shooting the dog was premature without a vet checking it out first, unless you just didn't give a shit but then why bother to post and ask 'what was i to do'.

A friend once had to deal with a cat that suffered a head trauma - its head was all contorted and bent backwards, legs stiff and it couldn't move - basically paralyzed but crying incessantly. Vet diagnosed that a severe concussion caused the brain swelling which induced all the side effects. Swelling subsided in a few days and it ended up fine with no problems or long term damage.

I have to admit watching that cat walk sideways a few days while it regained its equilibrium was way funny/cute.
