First off H2c already addressed this elsewhere. It seems Ford can float the boat. For now.

Now consider how the rest of the world does it. Almost every foreign car maker is subsidized by their government. Japan, Germany etc.

The "foreign" cars made here, southern based, non union, and foreign owned, are kicking Detroits ass. It seems that better cars for less $ in a free market is going to cost the American taxpayer.
