That's exactly the problem. Instead of trying to find realistic, rational solutions for the real problems(how to prevent the companies from failing now, when it will be disastrous for the American economy. How to help Ford survive, how to keep as many jobs in America as possible, how to protect the customers of failed companies) the Americans are pissed off and scared so much they are wiling to actually support throwing good money after bad. That's exactly what losers like Wagoner, Nardeli and Gettelfinger want.
