Didn't they lower the voting age to 18 to justify drafting boys just out of high school to die in military service becasue it was decided that it was wrong to send people to their deaths who didn't possess the illusion of having some say in the political process that was sending them to die?

Serious question because I suck at politics and history and I'm too lazy to look it up.
