The first 2 books are pretty good. The killers are much more brutal and the crimes themselves are more graphic. Unfortunately the 3rd book is where the author jumps the shark...still an amusing "junk food" read but the direction he goes with the dark passengers is kind of cheesy and lame and while the initial kiddie killers direction for astor and cody is fresh and interesting it really does become lame in the direction the 3rd book takes. The next book is supposed to be released sometime in the early part of 2009 and I'm hoping the writer manages to pull himself up out of the shit heap he's written this book series into.
