Is this gonna carry over into homophobia and sexism as well? We can just make it like LiB, where guys can post saying shit like CXXX is a disease-spreading faggot who should be killed, but calling a violent,abusive, caricature-of-blackness and convicted felon Tony Everready a 'nig' warrants a banning. I might be talking out of my ass (again) but it seems to me that we've lost our sense of context here. There's a whole world of difference between what we collectively dished out to get Tritone's goat and some of the more recent stuff. I believe many of the Black posters (XXXBit and BNLMike come to mind) agreed upon that point. Lately, though, it's become a bit much. Anything can be funny in the right context. See George Carlin's take on rape, for example. But an obvious alt calling itself "Dead Nigger Storage?" Sounds like MPR to me.

Funny you say that because I personally found a lot of the stuff said to Tritone, while not overtly racist like some of my shit, was actually a lot worse. There seemed to be a real venom aimed at him, but since they weren't using slurs outright it seemed okay. He called me a bigot and I'm A-ok with that tag. I've defended that dude on here before; i just dig racist humour. The same is with C3P0. When people are making witty fag and tranny jokes, it's awesomeness. But there's also a camp that is just all about the hate...

There was real venom aimed at Tritone, but, IMO, that was more a reaction his own intolerance and single-mindedness than anything else.
Whatever racism was there was ancillary, as it was his own pet bugaboo. If his thing had been the Freemasons or people with one leg shorter than the other, people would have posted about that, just to fuck with him.
It's when it lost that context that it got out of hand.

I don't really give a shit, one way or the other, what people post. It's proven people are individually responsible for what they say on the internet.
The point of my post in this thread is similar to one I made to the guy railing on the whore on youtube- don't be a single issue poster. It is clear whoever registered "dead nigger storage" is nothing but someone with an agenda.
I'm not interested in a site that is rampantly racist. It isn't fun to read, I have nothing to contribute and I don't care to participate.
I also agree that the shit shoveled at Tritone is a horse of a different color. I submit that Tritone is the purist racist on this board. ("Dead nigger storage" surely doesn't qualify or his/her true color would have come out in their primary ID).
Oh well, this thread makes Charin sad. All is not lost.

In regards to the actual topic, that is so fucked up. I think drug busts need to be more carefully planned out. And they need to realize these crooks are pretty smart and usually aside from dealing drugs "fairly" decent people. Most in it for money who really like the money will lay low and act normal and probably have a family. I say do investigations if they see no one is getting murdered or robbed let it be the is BIGGER fish to catch like these goddamn SWAT members.

Moral issues aside, I still know from hard experience that racist humor like that displayed recently was lame and tired in 1983. That's just true.
Should it be banned from the board? I dunno. The single issue poster banned last night, was an over the top case. Even Archie Bunker had an entire assortment of other things going on, besides racial prejudice. And there is a fine line between racial and racist humor.
I know the remedy for hate speech is more speech by tolerant people like me. Sadly, it is hard to find humor in bigotry, it is just pitiful.

Not true for all, some of us weren't even sperm yet. So, how the hell would you know? Humor of any sort will never go out of style. Then you'll love this.
