It isn't dip because it is packed in little pouches, a little like tea bags. There is loose snus but I don't think it's being aggressively marketed in the US. The loose stuff takes quite a bit of getting used to and when I had it the stuff seemed even finer cut than Copenhagen "Fine Cut".

And you have never seen anyone knitting on the bus/subway? I will make an effort to snap a pic for you next time I notice it.
