It should be easy for daBurg to tell if Saks is imploding. Just roll that wheelchair down the aisles and see how easy it is to get around.

When stores get so hard up they can't get suppliers to send them stuff then start removing racks and such from the store rather than let the racks get empty, and to hide missing racks they just move them farther apart.

Every time I've noticed that a store has more open floor space than before that store has disappeared within six months. Extra floor space ought to be easier to notice in a wheelchair than for pedestrians.
