I need some help here folks.

Seems I need to start carrying a cell phone for work. I have never used them before and I dislike them.

Anyway, realize that I know nothing about this so speak slowly.

I need a phone that is "pay as you go". I expect to need it very infrequently. A few minutes 5 days a week. So getting a "plan" seems unnecessary.

I do not need any features at all. I will not be texting or anything more complex than answering the occasional call.

It needs to be durable. No flip phones or anything else with obvious weak points. It is going to have the shit beaten out of it.

As cheap as possible. That is very important. Because even though it's a job related write off I'm still not interested in throwing money on a gadget I don't like.

I am not sure if it matters but my location is Toronto, ON.

Thanks folks. Any advice would be appreciated. And please keep it simple.

I have always been interested in phones, just despised cells because I think they are more rude than helpful.

Can anyone else (I'm looking at the HAMs) manually pulse dial a phone?

Here you go..

I'm not sure about the cheap part as it's a new release, and it may have a few more bells and whistles than you need, but it's almost impossible to buy a "basic" phone now days.

Just a note, they make a older version of the phone called a Rugby [sp], but it's a flip phone, built to military specs though.
