Unlike many who post here, I don't care if the porn girls "escort". But, I don't see it as the same at all.

The part that's the same is she's having sex for money. But, in escorting the emphasis is getting the guy fucking her off.

In porn films, the guy she's fucking is a paid pro, too. He's not looking to her to get him off. He gets paid to pop when and how the director wants.

Even in the case of a POV scene, like say the ones BI does, while the person paying her gets off, he's mostly into making a profit off he scene NOT the softness/tightness of her mouth/pussy/ass.

Add to that the fact that porn stars are tested for their scenes. How much if any testing goes on in escorting? I have heard that the Bunny Ranch girls only have sex with condoms. But, an "independent" porn whore in a room with an untested man with a wad of cash .... they might forego the condom if paid enough. And, then whatever they get might get into the industry before it is caught test-wise.
