Surely you can't be serious - most Americans didn't vote for or support the dictators that got our military into Iraq through trickery and subterfuge, but not to derail with a pointless topic, Thanksgiving is like most other U.S. national holidays in that they've devolved into nothing more than:

1) An excuse to get people together.
2) An excuse to drink.
3) An excuse to drink to cope with having to get together.

In my case, it's #1.
