Have you had an experience, maybe earlier in life, where you had a sure thing with a girl (or guy) but decided to say no to the offer, but then regretted it later? What was yours?

Mine was in high school. I was 17, and the girl, Katie, was 15. She was thin, brunette, about 5'3". Her face was reminiscent of a younger Lindsay Lohan. I'd always get the sense she was staring at me from the side, and when I'd turn around, she'd just grin. She eventually mentioned she liked me and wanted me to "come over because her mom had vodka", but I pretended not to hear it because I was hung up on another girl. Despite that we became friends, went out to lunch, etc. One day she blindsided me with "what would you say if I told you I wanted to suck your cock?" My reply was "I'd probably tell you no." She had a look like she'd never heard "no" before, and after that our conversations were awkward. I told her no because I was afraid my other "long-term project" might find out.

To make matters worse, the "long term" girl I'd been hung up on and passed up Katie's offer for ended up not working out anyway. Only after we'd been dating a while did I find out how much of a super-christian she really was; her idea of a good time was going to "teen group" at church, and hearing about jesus and his magic tricks; I lost patience from being nagged to go with.

So in the end, I ended up with zero, despite a foolish belief back then that I'd somehow been "honorable".
