The month of march will be a legendary month of gaming at casa de la Fartz.
Metro Last Light: the follow up to the amazing and criminally underated Metro 2033
Tomb Raider (2012): The prequel to all the other games. The story of how Lara became a badass.
And lastly, Bioshock Infinite. The second in the series by Irrational Games, a company that is incapable of making a bad game. Bioshock 2 was developed by 2K Marin, which explains why it kind of sucked, and didn't have the fullness or engaging story that can only come from Irrational:
Or Ken Levine got a meal ticket at some point and it doesn't matter that his shit's just not that awesome. Whoever it was developed by, the first part was a bad console port with shoddy controls and lobotomised AI.

Can you guys recommend me a driving/racing game? I need one that is pretty easy to play because I am a noob when it comes to racing games.
dirt 3.just set the driving assists to on.because its almost unplayable without them unless youre using a wheel.this is a really fun game too.

That may explain why I played Bioshock 2 and wondered what all the hype was about. Seemed like a perfectly good FPS but not much more.
I just picked up the Las Vegas extensions for Fallout 2 New Vegas. Addictive stuff.
Completed Journey, one of the best games I've ever played in terms of design, up there with Ico and Shadows of Colossus which are obvious influences. Pretty unique puzzle game essentially, but how many games can you use the word 'meditative' to describe it?
i prestiged in black ops 2 tonight.good thing is in this one you dont have to start from scratch like the first one.i read why and its the exact reason i didnt the first time around.

Get the fuck out of here with that niz-noise. Shoddy controls? Bioshock controlled like a dream, had an amazing immersive setting, and was one of the only games that I've ever played where I didn't see the plot twist coming a mile away. Let me guess, SystemShock 2 sucked too, right?
Man, pipe, I knew you were an elitist of sorts, but this is just ridiculous. Lobotomised AI? Are you fucking serious? I actually tested the AI on that game, wondering just how far I could run and hide from a pissed off Big Daddy and get away with it. I set one on fire, ran through about ten rooms, through a secret tunnel, and hid far away from that angy son of a bitch. I was thinking "No fucking way the AI is advanced enough to trace a route to my position, but sure enough, about four and a half minutes later, BOOM! he busted through a goddamn door and slaughtered me. But to each his own, I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed journey for it's thoughtful approach, tranquil, yet sublety dangerous atmosphere and overall artistic merit, but fuck, talk about over-rated. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but not the amazing, mind-blowing, epic (three hour) experience that the gaming community have circle-jerked it out to be. Shadow of the Colossus on the other hand, was a goddamn masterpiece.
Shoddy controls, yes. PC. Lobotomised AI, yes. The example wasn't such a kicker in any case. System Shock I didn't play; Deus Ex: Human Revolution was good though.
youre welcome.you got a great deal on it and you wont regret it.the main storyline is really fun and addicting.

I mainly dug it for the design and actually liked that it could be completed in such a short time (I often lose interest before ever completing a game) but agree that Shadow of the Colossus is much better, although I haven't completed SoC yet.
I think the hype is probably because of just how little creativity goes into most big-time videos games, so when something different comes out everyone pisses their pants and tries to use it as a excuse with their mom for how many hours they've wasted blowing shit up in the past.
cleetus make sure you dl the track packs for dirt 3.theyll add points to your main pro tour storyline.ive had it for a year and still havent dled the car packs but i will eventually.especially since i kind of want to get one of those racing game rigs with the wheel, peddles, and racing bucket.the gymkhana tracks are assloads of fun.

Do yourself a favor, Claude, and finish Sotc. One of my top five favorites of all time. I was obssessed with that game. So much so that I spent a fair amount of time in a SOTC thread, with fellow players, philosophizing and theorizing about possible secrets in the game. We all thought that there would be some possible way to climb the shrine of worship. We didn't understand why you were allowed to climb up to the secret garden, but go no further. One player modded himself higher than the garden, only to find that the textures weren't solid and you just fell through everything. Another poster emulated the game and seriously fucked with the code. An unfinished area of the game was found on the north-eastern portion of the map, the shrine was climbed, and the colossi were unleashed all over the map.
Here's how to get to the garden, if you didn't know
This guy fucked with the game's code so much, he discovered how to control the colossi.
first map pack for black ops 2 drops jan 29.4 multiplayer maps,a zombie co op map,and new zombie mode.also a new gun of some sort.

To go with our new tablets I put a new router in. Everything logs on great except the XBox. It'll get on the network for a few minutes then drops. I fucking hate technology.

It's wifi. I dunno. It's since the new router. Every device has full bars except the xbox. I think I'm just going to run an ethernet cable to it.
call the cable guy.those dickheads get paid to find out whats wrong with your service.

i beat lollipop chainsaw in the beginning of the week.started playing it last week and with six chapters as well as an intro chapter i beat it in six sittings.its a fun action packed game with a sexy main character(like the bloodrayne games and bayonetta)but has less gun play than the other ones.
its really well written and the comedy is laugh your balls off funny.so funny in fact that some of the jokes told while your fighting will make you laugh a lot while your playing.theres lots of costumes too and two different endings,so multiple playthroughs are expected.if you like nubile zombie hunting cheerleaders and laughs than this is the game for you.you can grab it for 20 bucks on amazon.

I can't find anything that says he wrote Shadows of the Damned. He's done a bunch of stuff, most recently wrote and directed the movie Super, and he's doing some comic book movie coming out next year.
That's because shadows was done by Shinji Mikami and Suda51. I dislike the Gunn guy. I saw him state on "the top 100 video games of all time" that Stars Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic was the game that "started the whole RPG genre for him". I changed the channel.
regardless you guys should pick up lollipop chainsaw.

I'd have to hide it from the kid like porno. Regardless of the age of the slut cheerleader, I'm not exposing my kid to the a game where there's constant mention of "great tits!!" and a boss that yells "fucking slut, cunt, whatever" on the screen, using the words as a weapon.
Friend of mine tapped into that new xbox video game console [?] I could be wrong about that it might be Wii and can watch people in their bedrooms and living rooms. Just wherever the camera is. Holy crap on a cracker.

im retarded because i thought the bops2 dlc was gonna drop for all consoles.i found last night its just for the 360 right now.but im so used to being dissapointed i wasnt really shocked.guess ill have to wait another month.also i read that you can get nuketown zombies if you get a season pass which is 10 bucks cheaper than buying each dlc pack by itself.i think i might do that.

I'm fucking shocked that nobody bought up Vigil Studios and Darksiders. I really enjoyed that series. Word is that Sony Santa Monica and Platinum games are hiring the leftover Vigil employees. Interested to see what Patrice Desiletts Montreal Studio is working on. Heard it's some game called Osiris and has an Egyptian thing going on.
It's featured in the latest Saints Row and was implemented with reduced dildo wiggle simulation physics in the Japanese version of the game, as far as I know.
I never played Saint's 3. I knew that though. Thought it had something to do with THQ closing for somesuch reason. Is Metro Last Light still on path for a March release? I know it was picked up by Koch Media, but haven't heard a fucking thing about whether they're planning on releasing it in March still or not.
I'd assume that, given a certain state of polish the game might have now, it'd be a waste not to release it, but it could make sense not to financially.
You into Metro? The AI was shady, and the game was somewhat linear, but I thought it really brought the atmosphere. Loved the story and the narrative. I'm seriously looking forward to Last Light.
