Cal's life took a turn when he met fresh-faced hardcore newcomer Jill Kelly in 1993 . The two had a stormy and tempestuous love affair that was brought to an abrupt end when, distraught at the break-up of their marriage, Cal put a gun to his head and blew his brains out on January 25, 1995. He was 34 years old.
