Asking what awards he's won shouldn't be the question. Maybe he's undiscovered. Highly unlikely since everyone's a pornographer now, but sometimes you never know.
What skills he has and if he has linkage to his examples, or even just words to describe, is a more important and fair question.

I COMPLETELY HEAR what your saying, and in many ways totally agree with you, but if you don't really know how to use the materials both Sony and Apple have given you, the results show and the end result product suffers. I'm not saying I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread, but the old addage applies... "If your just not an electrician... Don't go fucking around with the wires in your house... Ya gonna get burned."

First off, thanks for even looking this way... I've been on this site for a long time and always dig your posts (stupid, but I'm honored).
Anyway, to answer your question.... I've won a Philo award for "creative use of video", a golden clapper for "best entertainment", and the silver sabre, for my visuals.
Those were for "mainstream"... However, the best award/reward came from Brad Armstrong who remade my first adult film "The Confessions of Nicole Riley", as "Confessions of an Adultress" with Julia Ann (ravishing).
Although I STILL think my original film had a MORE emotional base than Brad's, how the hell could I NOT love the fact that Adult's version of Steven Spielberg took the time to give me the ultimate pat on the back.
Word.

"Pretty" is a work in progress... A dark and twisted waking nightmare of lives lived and shattered realities. Exposed, raw, nerve endings...
In many ways, I'm looking for a "home" for the project as a whole... Just riding the wave, seeing what happens... Since I'm hoping to place it with someone else, I don't wanna post anything other than some pics and maybe a production journal... only to be fair to it's future owner.
Thanks for the compliment... I really try to give my work a unique "look". The girls involved, so far, have been above awesome... No complaints. Sometimes they dont really understand what I'm trying to do with the overall "look" of the picture, and get a touch "testy", but so far, no Chasey Lain/Donkey Kong encounters...

Until I find a "home" for "PRETTY", I'm looking to see what's out there by way of shooting or editing for someone else. I'm just one of those cats who gets off on "creativity". I dig the whole vibe of working with others to bring something REALLY cool to life. I'm not the most talented, but in the right setting, with the right people on the same team.... I'm fucking dangerous...

I don't disagree and you're preachin to the choir, but you have two things working against you that are already obvious I'm sure: 1) in gonzo porn (i.e. the 9 out of 10 titles that make up Top-Ten adult DVD sales lists at any given time) the only real worries directors have are lights/battery/tape and whether there's enough of each - FORGET composing! Then when they dump the tape to timeline on the editing computer, they do little more than set a few chapter points and then print, and have a lackey do the menu authoring. 2) the industry is notorious for already "needing to know someone" to be able to get into it - catch 22.
I get the sense that people similar to you have often given up waiting for a red carpet to roll out and ultimately just started down the long road to doing their OWN production which then eventually got noticed by bigger companies, case in point Jules Jordan who started out on the wrong coast for porn production, working in a porn store, and then just started his own thing slowly, and now years later he's dominating sales charts.

Mark_J... Dude, I get it, and I know exactly what your talking about... But, things are constantly changing. The porn market is a constantly evolving animal... Gonzo began as an off-shoot of the old "story-driven" epics of the 70s and 80s. My personal work IS NOT geared towards gonzo styled films at all... But I am open to serving those who do prefer that niche... which was the subject of this post to begin with. About me, I never really went chasing after the "red-carpet", but I do dig Jules and his stomp up the charts... Me, I've sorta bumbled into everything I've done thus far. Still looking and open to anything.... Will be taking the advice of Mark_J... but still trying this out. Demos/samples of past work avail... Dirt cheap and ready for combat. Can be ANYWHERE in the world at a moment's notice. Owns FULL pro-end HD production package (Sony CineAlta F900) and lights. Avid Nitrus cutter.
