The above post is absolutely true, sir. We did refer to it as "liquid crack." Things that happened to me in 1998 whilst on said liquid crack:

-I was living in Greensboro, North Carolina (which explains a lot)
-My bff was a total chola, down to the drawn on eyebrows and sparkly pink eyeshadow by Cover Girl (they still make it). She once had acrylic nails with 8-balls painted on the ring finger.
-I frequented a nightspot called "Da Club." They let the way underaged chola and me drink watered down vodka t's. They played a lot of Jodeci.
-I had a BMW, the friends said it was nice, but youknowwhatwouldbereallygreat on it? Rims.
-I had a fondness for belly shirts and velvet pants.

I am telling everyone this so they will really understand why having friends who drink Cisco is a baaaad idea.

The original Miller High Life (the American version) is one of my favourite beers of all time, much to the chagrin of all my microbrew beer snob compatriots . It was one of the first things I bought when I hit L.A. And fuck you niggaz pay nothing for beer. I also drank Rolling Rock when I went to Buffalo this year. That shit is fucking great. I brought back 24 Miller Lite. Meh....

Damn skippy. I'm probably gonna make L.A. an annual thing from now on (promise I'll get a driver's license). And track this record down if you can:

I guess I averaged a 12 pack a day for 15 years. Coors, Miller, Olympia, too watery. I like Rolling Rock, but hard to find and pricey. Schoenling Little Kings are made in cans, and are inexpensive, but have the kick of a malt liquor with much, much better taste. Heineken was too expensive for me, but I used to get a lot of it free, I did like it. Lone Star is not a terrible beer, but when in Texas, I liked Pearl a lot more. I did like Orion when I was in Okinawa. Panamanian beer is not drinkable, you can hold it up to the light and see the bug parts floating, and it tastes horrible. The only other beer I took one sip of and set down was Jax, a Louisiana beer.

I drank an ocean of Busch, moderate price, not too heavy or light, just about a good compromise. Bud was too expensive, and a bit heavy, like PBR. I loved the little bottles of Wiedeman, but they went away. Black Label is a little nasty, but when I could get it for a nickel at the Navy club, I did.

Of the malt liquors, I started with Colt .45, and it is better than Schlitz, in my opinion, Schlitz is a bit rough. There was something I would sometimes see called Private Stock, came in a green bottle, it was good.

I would tolerate Old Milwaukee but Milwaukee's Best was too rugged. One friend used to argue that Milwaukee's Best was best because it sold so much in our neighborhood, so the stores had fresher stock. That was bullshit.

I never drank light beer, or wasted money on some pussy fru-fru crap that would cost you $30 to get drunk. Fuck all that. Assholes remind me of wine bores.

Oh for the days of Rolling Rock pony bottles and original fire brewed Strohs. The times of my life rolling in the hippie van drinking smoking and joking.

I was never a Rolling Rock fan, but being from western Pennsylvania (the stuff used to come from Latrobe, not far away) I've been inundated with it since my partying days started. It's ok, but definitely not my fav.

I do enjoy High Life, and a six pack of the pounder cans runs about $6 around here, so it's preferred in a pinch. I believe Charin mentioned Busch as well. This is my fav cheap beer, I can get a 12 pack of cans at the local bar for $8.

When I went to college in Allentown, the most common beer there on tap was Genesee Cream Ale, which I never took to.

Yuengling was better, but not great. Never was into the little greenies [rolling rock].

If you wanted a paper typed [and few guys or girls could type well], I'd do it a for a pizza and a six of Molson Canadian [the BEER not the more common, and expensive, Ale]. I liked that beer.

But, then again, I'm not much of an American beer/ale drinker.


I've always like the darker stuff more. I just ADORE stout. A good irish sports bar with a fresh keg of foamy Guinness. Yum.

Yuengling seems to be the staple beer around these parts. I can't STAND Iron City though, I think it tastes awful. We used to joke about how they bottled it directly out of the Mon, lol.

PS: Straub is pretty damn tasty too.

Straub is good, and it has no additives or preservatives. Plus it's relatively cheap. It's definitely the beer of choice for the warehouse crew here.
