There are a number of Republican leddership meetings going on today and tomorrow. But oddly, Palin is back in Alaska - I guess no one invited her to any of the party meetings.

I guess they use 'pinche' in Central America. I've heard it mostly from Mexicans. The 'puta' part is pretty universal.

She may be coming to Washington!! If Stevens wins [538.com thinks it's still up in the air], and gets expelled from the Senate, there's a good chance "Miss Africa-the-Country" will be its new Senator. Like Happy Chandler, she could step down, and her now-lieutenant-gov could appoint her. She would likely win the next special election to complete the term. If so, what are the odds she gets confused on her way to Washington and she and Todd buy a place outside Seattle???

My mom is from South America and I travelled around. Each country and region within a country has its slang. Sometimes the slang words mean totally different things - 'guagua' in one place (Ecuador, i think) means bus, while in another it may mean bus. Coño (cunt/pussy) is heard all over the place in Venezuela or parts of the Caribbean but is a stronger put down in Argentina. I hear Mexican slang and don't understand half of it.

To me its still unknown weather verga means asshole or cock. The expression "chupa mi verga" tells me it means cock but I dunno.
