Conq sorry to hear that - isn't the lifespan of hamsters only like 2-3 years anyway? Seems like short-term heartbreak is inevitable anyway due to their high metabo - one of the reasons my g/f is second guessing getting one for fear of getting attached then losing it quickly, versus longer lifespan of a cat or dog, etc.

"Better to have hamster'd and lost", though - right? He was playing with the house's money since he lived longer than if you hadn't come along and he'd gone home with someone else for their snake.
