Ok, who's up for a bet on the number of days from inaugeration until assassination? Pick a number. (If you think he won't make it to inauguration you can make it negative.)
As a tie breaker, guess the death toll in the subsequent race riots.

Understood, JRV. I love most sick and twisted shit especially on XPT but I guess some things aren't funny to me. Old lady falling down in the crosswalk = funny. September 11 = not funny. Drug addicted PW's performing couch acrobatics = funny. Someone getting cancer = not funny. Dead pools with pop culture baffoons like Paris, Britney or Amy Winehouse = funny. The assassination of a president, who's not just a man but a figurehead and a collective conscious for the people he represents (regardless Bush, McCain, Obama, whoever) = not funny. Maybe I'm uptight.
Sad that Obama had to deliver a moving speech behind 3 inch thick armored glass, but one thing at a time I guess.

Despite the fact that he is a politician he seems like an okay guy to me. If he expires in office I hope it involves something freakish like getting hit by a meteorite or a chunk of satellite detritus.
I'll give it within 2 years and no people will die in riots because they will be too busy feeling shocked and amazed that someone died my meteor strike.
I'm talking about those real tiny ones that lose most of their mass in the atmosphere and hit earth when they are the size of a small rock.

I don't like Obama in the least. But It has nothing to do with his being black. I'm fundamentally against most of what he stands for. (socialism) I don't predict his death in any way, nor do I wish for it to happen. I want to see him beaten in four years, but in the right way through a vote. A bullet would only serve to make him a martyr, and fuck up this country's future even more.

The world admires America today, and looks to us for hope after hating us for the last 6 years.  Did you guys see the protective glass in front of the podium yesterday? I won't pick a number, but I am scared for his life. The last 2 charismatic presidents we had were shot, Kennedy & Reagan. An inept group of white racists killed Lincoln. I'm scared for him.

Actually killing a person who has become a symbol of hope and change is really an ineffective way to deal with them. He'll more than likely be the target of a very destructive scandal that kills his reputation before anyone comes close to taking his life.
