Perhaps; but I don't think Obama's aunt is going to cause the same kneejerk reaction in the anti-immigration crowd that say mexican immigrants would. I think "illegal immigration" is just code for these people "not liking mexicans" coming and taking jobs, etc. Substitute say a Ukranian family in place of the mexican family in a hypothetical scenario and suddenly people don't seem quite as bothered. It's a token issue for politicians with no real steps being taken either way because no one wants to leave latino votes on the table. Just an opinion.
