I agree with H2C. She's a star to the conservative base. If McCain loses tomorrow, she will be one of the bright stars of the party. McCain himself credited her with being the reason he overtook Obama in early September.

Whether she runs or not in 2012, she's going to be a resource for any Republican running anywhere in the Red states. Congress, Governor, etc.

It wouldn't surprise me to see her elected Senator in the near future. Say if Stevens wins and is expelled, she could run in the special election to fill the vacancy. You think Alaska isn't going to vote for her?

Even if she gets hosed by her personnel board investigation, which should be out before the year's end, they're not going to care. The people there LOVE her.
