She is strong with the "base" and I have no doubt she will always be strong with them. They absolutely ADORE her.

The problem is that once she goes beyond the base, people actually want substance. And, there she is lacking.

I think that the economy has hurt McCain more than she.

But, she is a gauge people are using in evaluating McCain's judgment and there she is hurting him and badly. Several republicans and normally republican leaning newspapers have cited her specifically in turning their support to Obama.

Almost 60% of Americans find her unqualified in the latest poll. That's astounding.

I still believe that if he had chosen Crist from FL that would have pleased the base and made FL impossible for Obama.
