So if he picks Romney or Giuliani what do you have? A ticket comprised of a couple rich white guys, I'm not sure how far that would have got him this year.

As for Palin being a lightweight, it's seems she's done pretty well to this point. Now granted she might have gotten a little in over her head going from govern of Al to vice prez candidate, but that isn't to say that with some work she's not up to the task.

As for her popularity, I guess the polls say she's slipping, but then everywhere she goes there's record turnout. She visited a smallish town close to here not long ago, they expected and planed for 10k and almost 20k showed up. They had to turn people away.

Also, given the scrutiny she's received, and the lack of any major bombshells to derail her I'd say the future is in her hand, just can she deliver.
