I would have recommended Charlie Crist.

He's appealing to the Christians and many democrats in Florida like him because he stays out of the nasty partisan stuff - like extending the early voting hours and denying the Acorn crap about his state. Hell, even my leftist mother likes Crist.

Florida and its 27 would have been a sure "red" state requiring no time or money.


If he were a TRUE Maverick, he should have gone with Lieberman. He would have won over most if not all the Independants and many Democrats. I know my Dad, a lifelong Dem who hated both Hillary & Obama, would have voted for McCain. I might have as well.

But, tying himself to those rural Christian Chrazies - FORGET IT!! I HATE those "real" America assholes.


You're choice of Romney has historical merit. Taking an effective opponent in the primaries worked to change White House parties worked twice before in my lifetime [Kennedy/Johnson and more to the point Reagan/Bush].

As a person who lived under the racebaiting and nastiness of Der Fuhrer Rudy, I have nothing but HATRED for him. So, no thanks.
