Worth the read indeed. Even if I disagree with approx. 80% of what is written.
It's based on too many assumptions and doesn't take into account that the US economy is part of a global economy. The questions that McCain should have asked are ludicrously simple. One is outright hilarious:
"- If we bemoan the sending of $750 billion a year to our enemies for imported oil, which party has prevented domestic drilling for decades that would have made us more self-sufficient?"

And then this.
"Who in his ideal world would <snip> pilot our airplanes is not clear."
Well, I'm glad I can offer help.

I know this guy who runs an employment agency for pilots and other specialists. The pilots are all trained in the US. With some additional practice in take-off and landing, they'll be fine.
His agency has been involved in some major projects in the US, London, Madrid, on Bali, in Africa and, lately, in Iraq.
