"We are treating this as a credible report," (Police Chief Nate Harper) said
The ATM has a security camera, and investigators were trying to watch the video.
Quote: She refuses medical treatment after the assault.
Well, not quite. As the Trib article clarifies:
Quote: Police said Todd declined medical treatment at the scene. Her friend, a law student at University of Pittsburgh, said he took her to UPMC Shadyside for treatment.
"Initially when the police came and took the report she didn't want to go, but we convinced her, " he said.
Actually not uncommon amongst assault victims.
Quote: If she'd been kicked, she was likely on the ground.
Again, from the Trib:
Quote: He made comments to Todd about Republican presidential candidate John McCain and punched her in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground, police said Todd told them.
"He continued to kick and punch her repeatedly and said he would teach her a lesson for supporting John McCain," said police Chief Nate Harper.
The man scratched a backward "B" onto Todd's right cheek, she told police.
Quote: I'm confident I could replicate these 'injuries' with even the most basic (i.e., non-theatrical) makeup supplies,
I dare say you could. But while that would undoubtedly fool the camera, would it fool both the Pittsburgh PD and the ER she eventually went to?
Quote: at Halloween, I'm thinking quite a few cool kids will be doing just that and posting a picture on the internet for ironic lolz.
I'm guessing at least 30 at this years Halloween parade in the Village.
