I think the 'gubment' should get out of the marriage business. As Doug Stanhope says "Gay marriage? Fuck you! Straight marriage? Fuck you, too!"
We have it up here now and the country did not implode as a result (This from a country who changed its anthem to add the word 'god'.) If you wanna have a little party and say some vows, knock yourself out. I just can't understand why a free country is so freaked out by what consenting adults do. It is truly strange...

Yeah, I know. It was a jab at all the liberals(shocker!) who have been silent about the Dem's position on it. It's sad when Cheney has gone on record as being more liberal on this issue than anybody except Gravel and Kucinich.

Did your taxes go down under Bush, Gigi? I know some Americans got a break, but I was never clear on how it actually worked.
Also (I don't know much about finance) hasn't the current administration spent America into the poorhouse? Aren't you guys borrowing from China now? It seems the bill is going to be due at some point no matter who is in office.
