^^^If the democrats give full reign to their deepest far left desires & wants in an Obama presidency, it is most likely that a backlash will happen. The repubs will have 4 years to nurse their wounds and get their heads out of their asses, and will come up with some sort of national program a'la Contract With America. If they find a good enough talking head to carry the message, Sir Obama's term will likely be 4 years only. If the Dems get serious and put forth some real change, it might stick. But I really see Obama as the new incarnation of Smilin' Jimmy.
