The person who sent this out this summer said it was a pic taken by the drug-dealing boyfriend who had recently been caught after his dismembered girlfriend was found in a suitcase.

There WAS INDEED a 17-year old British girl named Cara Marie Burke who was dismembered by her drug-dealing/addict boyfriend Mohamed D'Ali Carvalho Santos in Brazil. The body WAS found in a suitcase. The girl WAS identified by the mother in part because of the tattoo she had. Mohamed confessed to police that he killed her, dismembered her and DID take pictures of her with his cellphone. He killed her because either she was going to tell his parents what he was doing and/or she was going to report him to the police.

But, here's where the problems start:

1. Cara is a light skinned diry-blonde who doesn't look much like the dark girl this pic.

2. The torso was found without it's head.

3. The tattoo that helped identify her said "Mum".

Now, there could be another drug-dealer who killed another girl, but I think it's more likely that a fake pic existed and someone put elements of this story to it once it was out. And, without better evidence that's what I'm going to chose to believe.

But, I've been wrong before ...
