OK, some lame shit has happened here lately. I thought I would offer some suggestions for how non-industry types should approach the pr0n board. Just what has worked for me, and like I say, suggestions.
<--Look at my registration date and number of posts. That's about two posts per week. That's about all most non-industry types probably have to contribute.
Look at the Forum titles. Do I have anything about PORN to add? Probably not a good idea to start a new thread here, unless I have something
substantial to contribute.
Read. Look through a lot of old threads, and use the search function. Are you flogging a dead horse? You look like an idiot when you introduce the surface elements of something that has already been discussed in depth.
Don't ask questions you can answer by using Google or
IAFD.
HUMOR is great. Notice how folks always seem to giggle when the talk turns to sex? Well, folks here do sex for a living, and like to giggle.
And, they may make you out to be a joke. Play along if you wish, but realize it may get nasty. If you are thin skinned, maybe you should move on.
Practice humility. Yeah, strange coming from me. But, the folks in the industry also use this board for real, cash type business, and know the board, its members and history. Show some respect, you are on their turf. Give your opinion, and shut the fuck up (STFU).
Learn the technical aspects of the board, how to link, post pictures, etc. Don't fuck up a thread by posting a picture so wide it won't fit a screen, and don't hot link to something that will go away tomorrow. Poke around the board and get familiar with the tools. If you must make a test post, find something decent, and fuck up a thread that is already fucked up, down in the bottom of the forums.
Contribute something
fun once in a while, folks will give you a little respect. You may wish to cut your teeth farther DOWN in the list of forums.
If it can be construed as gay, it will be. Don't post lame or gay shit. Like a chess grandmaster writes his move, then takes a last look to make sure he is not making a simple blunder, before you post, take a last look and ask, "Is this gay? Is this lame?"
Don't bump lame or gay threads, and don't feed the trolls by replying and giving assholes the attention they are after. Let dead dogs lie.
Keep yourself anonymous. You can't put toothpaste back in the tube.
Don't lie. You will get caught, and have hell to pay. Realize some of the regulars here may be smarter and more internet savvy than you. Back to the humility thing.
Don't link to pirate websites, duh, the folks they are screwing over run this.
Spelling, punctuation, and grammar count. Those who violate this regularly have earned respect by doing the other things I mention, or being in the industry, or posting pictures of their tits. Otherwise, it makes you look like an idiot.
Post pictures of your tits.
