I've had two ferrets and they make great pets. They do tend to have a musky odor about them, but they're easily bathed. All ferrets sold in the US are already fixed (spayed/neutered) and their scent glands are removed, but bathing once every week or two is best. They're a lot of fun to play with because they're hyper and they dig toys. I'd recommend them to anyone who has at least a half hour per day to take them out of the cage and give them some attention.
