You are entitled to your rights I agree. But in the post you talked about your ferret AND your cousin.
My cousin made the mistake, she didnt know I didnt take him yet, his name was Fuzzy, she locked the car and I automatically thought he was in the bag, smoked too much pot. I didnt check for him cause he usually slept alot during the movies, he always came with us, when I went to check for something in my bag I noticed he wasn't in there, I went back to the car and saw the horror. 102 degrees later and 1 1/5 minutes later before the movie ended I went into my bag to check for something and NO FUZZY, my poor little guy was lifeless. I was devestated and cried and cried, he was a cool one, he didnt smell, he would shower and we had him descented and neutered, that helps alot. Their natural oils let out a scent, but if you keep them very clean it's hardly noticeable. He was a good little guy. Even though they are illegal here in NYC., if you want it bad enough there are tons of them being sold.
And yes my cousin did pass away in 1998. But before that I tortured her for killing my baby.

I've had two ferrets and they make great pets. They do tend to have a musky odor about them, but they're easily bathed. All ferrets sold in the US are already fixed (spayed/neutered) and their scent glands are removed, but bathing once every week or two is best. They're a lot of fun to play with because they're hyper and they dig toys. I'd recommend them to anyone who has at least a half hour per day to take them out of the cage and give them some attention.

I'm with Gigi on this one. Labelling yourself an 'animal activist', refusing to wear fur, but loving leather and wearing it doesn't add up.
If you're an 'activist', you wouldn't wear leather. But I guess you're an 'armchair activist' by only taking the suitable parts from the doctrine and excusing yourself from the 'harder' or less enjoyable parts. You talk the talk, but do you walk the walk?

i don't care what anybody eats or wears, including fur. i don't deny she loves animals, i don't deny she is a crazy-awesomely-good pet owner. i just don't think the term "activist" should be used. no biggie.

wearing leather so as not to waste body parts may be "efficient", but i personally think you should turn in your "animal activist" card if you wear dead things. but that's just my opinion... if she feels comfortable using that label for herself she should by all means continue. i hope she proudly wears her new prada riding boots to her next animal rights rally. rock on, gypsy.

Well Im trying to be a vegetarian too, baby steps GI, baby steps....I wont wear fur, end of that story. Leather is always going to be there, people eat beef and will never stop, again people dont eat fox, mink, etc.

I shouldnt of called myself an animal rights activist, nowadays they think you are totally fucking looney toon if you say anything w/activist in it. And I dont go to those rallies, I never have. I dont hold signs and I would never. Get arrested for what holding a sign? and letting some idiot cop drag me on the floor, I dont think so. I already had an incident w/prison and an abused dog.
I would rather save dogs and cats and help them from awful shelter situations or fighting and abusive situations, than animals that can survive in the wild if people like that fucking cunt Palin would leave them alone.
I should of never said Im an animal activist, I retract that. I've never participated in any type of activist rally or organization. I do think the people that do are awesome, but I dont do it.
Im only eating chicken cutlets and fish right now, I eat steak very very rarely (and Im trying to cut that out all together), I want to stop eating the chicken too, but I could never stop eating fish. So Im trying in baby steps, say whatever you want about me, I believe in what I believe in. Two face, three face, whatever face, I've saved more animals in my short 6 years doing this than anyone else can ever say they've done for our fellow animals.
P.S. The boots were damaged and had to be returned but you better believe I'd be walking all over 5th Avenue w/them on my feet and proud of em. In front of the Pentagon, wherever they're holding those rallies, in front of IAMS centers, etc.
I dont have an animal activist card, I have a NEW HOPE card which is the ability to pull animals from city shelters, that is the only card I carry pertaining to animals. And I have a card supporting the ASPCA even though they suck and have more money than God.

I do walk the walk, I dont wear fur, end of story. I wear leather, it's used for saddles for horse riders, it's used for holsters to carry guns.......so what's your point??? I also have a holster for my gun, should I buy a canvas one??

Killing animals is either wrong because it's subjugation, exploitation, immoral, destruction of a life that humans should not have the right to destroy or it isn't. You can not have it both ways. With your logic you might as well say It's okay to have lamp shades made out of jews because they are already in the gas chamber anyways. You're a fucking idiot. (I'm not a vegetarian by the way)
