My VICE chums just posted their fave eateries in Gotham. I'm still trying to get down that way (maybe late Nov). Your thoughts on their list? Any you'd like to add/flame?

Pongsri Thai on Bayard has great frog's legs.

Delmonico's is a huge disappointment if you ask me.

Most of the little dumps listed are good. There are gaping holes (Italian?) and some crap, and some stuff even natives like myself have never heard of, so enjoy.

However, I would rather be stoned to death outside a mosque than eat with the average VICE reader at his/her fave Brooklyn haunt. At least if it's in the godforsaken trustfund hole Williamsburg.

Most of mine arent on there, but Katzs is good for a nice corned beef/pastrami on rye w/french fries and the best pickles in the world.
Peter Luger is my favorite steak house but that's in Brooklyn, Villa Mosconi on McDougal is one of my fave Italian spots and El Charro on Charles Street is the best Spanish, Akita on 1st Avenue for Japanese (they also have Sushi) and I dont really do Mexican or Thai. So those are my favorites. If ya want cheaper but very good, pm me. Those are better places if you arent on a budget.

Katz and Lugers are great. There's lots of places on that list I've never heard of, either.
