Obama was the first major presidential candidate in history to be open about his past drug use; I've been sick of candidates saying "I didn't inhale" or just absolutely ignoring charges they spent a good five years coked out of their mind. With a number of friends in jail for drug charges or ridiculous charges on their records (I still don't know anyone in porn whos spent a day in jail because of it), this is a major issue for me and Obama's openness signaled he might just take a different approach to the "war on drugs."

If that gives me no backbone, fuck all you.
