Is it just me, or do nearly all of the 18yr old girls in porn (soft and hard) look like they're aged 20+ ? Even sites or magazines promising 'barely legal' teens give us girls who could be in their early 20s.
I know that most 18 yr olds could probably pass for being 20, but surely there are lots of short, slightly built 18 year olds who don't look any older than their age. So where are they all ? Or do porn makers all follow the unwritten rule that you can show an 18 yr old naked, but only if she can pass for being 20 ?
Personally, if a site, magazine or DVD says it features 18 yr old girls, I want to see girls who LOOK like they're only 18, not ones who could be 19, 20 or even older.

Maybe that's true of hard-core porn (though I peronally wouldn't make that assumption) but what about the 'soft' end of the market eg. girls just posing nude ? Even here, if you're promised 'barely legal' 18 yr olds you might (if you're lucky) see a girl who looks 19. More often than not, they could be 20+.

Plus just because she is in a "18 yr old"movie doesnt mean shes 18 IRL...I know some very young looking 25 yr olds that do barely legal stuff.
And...to me at least...teens seem to look a lot older today then I did at 18

Even if a 25yr old is 'really young looking', they'll probably still look like a 20yr old, which reinforces my point that 'barely legal' porn is full of twenty-ish looking women.
As regards the point about teenagers looking older these days, I tend to agree. But, as I said in my original post, there are still a lot of short, slightly built 18yr olds about who don't look any older than their age. So lets see some of em nekkid !

You're assuming way too much about how the titles featuring these girls are developed. Very little thought goes into it - companies have their existing "lines" that exploit a gimmick, i.e. "Barely 18 Eighteen Year Old Teens", "MILF Mommy Moms", "Lusty Latin Latinas" etc.
Next you have an endless parade of female performers coming from the agencies shooting for their lines - what title they end up in isn't always calculated up front. They just kind of get thrown loosely into whatever 'gimmick' line seems most appropriate.
So, the occasional 31 year old girl ending up in a "teen" movie, or conversely a 20 or 21 year old with a lot of hard miles that ends up in the occasional MILF movie, or even hispanic girls in black and asian themed, asian girls in hispanic themed movies - you name it - there's no truth in advertising.
A bunch of girls are simply booked on a particular day or multiple days (sometimes a title will take many months to accumulate enough scenes), its edited and a label is slapped on, and out the door to distributors it goes.
In the end I'm not sure why titles or genres matter except as a ballpark way of finding your interests.

I like Barely legal stuff. But you have to sift through allot of dogs, to find the good ones. Some "amateur" (Though they have pay sites) Barely legal teens look really young...but most of their stuff is soft core. I get bored with soft core stuff. Still I look at the softcore Barely Legals from time to time, and just have hardcore thoughts in my mind.

So, basically, porn producers are just interested in using labels like 'Barely Legal' or 'Just 18' as a way of selling their products, and don't really care if they're actually giving people what they've promised. In that case, the industry needs people with more integrity.
As regards your comment that titles and genres are just a 'ballpark way of finding your interest'. Well, they don't serve that function very well if they're completely inaccurate eg. if 'barely legal teens' turn out to be women in their twenties.

Maybe you've seen different websites/magazines/dvds to the ones I've seen, if you think that 'Barely Legal Teens' look really young. As I've said, the girls tend to look, to me, as being aged 20 +.
To give you an idea of the kinds of girls that I'D like to see getting naked (though not necessarily doing hard-core porn) think of the young actress Ellen Paige in the movie Hard Candy, which she did when she was aged 17/18.
