SO. Hm. I am a Catholic (shhaad up) and a former voluteer at the Rape Abuse Incest National Network...so perhaps I shouldn't speak on this topic, but I feel I must, because I'm also a journalist and avid free speech supporter.

This is a fine line. You want women in the sex industry to feel safe, yet they, of their own volition, choose to work with this group. I'm going to go out on a limb here, because I believe that the topic of rape is running a very dangerous line of being trivialized and undermined and to say that someone who calls rape after signing a contract to be involved in a sex scene (what's IN that contract, is there fine print)is stretching this very serious, VERY complex legal issue.
Maybe I don't know enough about Max, but I do know that there is a reason why there are contracts. There is a reason why you can't always say the woman is right because she "felt" like she was raped.
I think about honest to God rape victims every day...sorry, but I don't know if I can feel the same here. Just because you're a woman with poor judgment does not mean you were victimized.
Don't throw tomatoes at me, please. I do take this issue seriously.
