Did anyone else witness this other than Johnny Thrust, who was robbed? Does Thrust do drugs or otherwise appear to live beyond his means?

I smell an inside job here- it's a classic set-up. Thrust could have stashed the money and made up a lie about a black perpetrator. Boy, Jeff is going to be pissed if he finds out that's what happened.
