surely all of you people recognize that the entire sentence about the spoon and the lighting is their passive/aggressive way of saying that they were kicked out of their old place because of some OCD rules and regulations that they didn't follow......they left something (a spoon) in the sink, and they didn't turn off lights. Did I really just have to explain that?
