This story (whatever it is) smacks of tragic undertones....I believe the girl is the victim of some type of abuse or trauma, the Large friendly man treated her with love and kindness and won her easily dispensed love and devotion, they both medicate using Pot, with the dude also suffering from chronic obesity and type 2 diabetes (which may explain the hospital), and they are too lazy or uninformed to avail themselves of any public assistance or government programs (like Disability services which the guy no doubt qualifies for.) OR...maybe they have and they blow his Disability check on Pot every month, I dunno.

If I still had my place in Mendocino, i'd let them campout next to some strategically important crop zones, witht he understanding they can smoke all they want provided they turn the water on at the prescribed intervals, and keep on the watch for Helicopters to throw up the camouflage netting .... knowing my luck, the fat boy would have a heart attack and croak on my property, and there would be ensuing difficult questions to answer as the ambulance sped away....I am glad I got out when I did.
