Only slightly off topic, so I beg indulgence, but during a four week holiday around the USA in December/January a group of friends and I spent a couple of days at the AEE in Vegas.
Now, one of those friends was irrationally paranoid from the moment we boarded the plane to leave Australia that everyone on the plane knew we were going to a porn convention. In San Francisco, LA, New York and Miami, whenever I mentioned the fact to a friendly stranger that our itinerary included Las Vegas, he would almost physically restrain me from talking in case the stranger figured out by reading between the lines that we would be at a porn convention on two of our six days in Vegas.
It bordered on the ridiculous - even whilst propped up against the Venetian Circle Bar at 4:00am during AEE and surrounded by porn stars and perverts, his response when some local dirty ass crack whore asked him if he was here for the porn convention was to say in incredulous tones, "What? I had no idea? How interesting".
Anyway, with that background, within minutes of arriving at the AEE this friend and I were in line to see one of the contract girls. Then, fast as lightening and from out of nowhere comes Gia in ninja stealth mode, shooting off pics like throwing stars. As a veteran XPT'er, I naturally hit the dirt and sought cover. However, my friend fails to follow my lead and just stands there smiling like a deer caught in headlights. When I returned to the line after Gia had gracefully and silently merged back into the crowd, my friend asked me why I had made myself scarce when "that nice lady in black pulled out her camera". After I explained who Gia was and who she worked for, my friend went bright red and for the rest of the AEE whenever he saw Gia he cursed under his breath that she was trying to "out him".
Anyway, when we got back to Australia I went online and checked out Gia's pics. Sure enough, there was one there with my friend standing in the background grinning like a typical fanbois. I duly printed the picture off and quickly and nastily edited the pic into the front page of our National newspaper's weekend edition from during the AEE. I handed it to my friend and casually said "look at the local coverage of the porn show".
It gave my friend a short, sharp, heart attack.
So, thank you Gia for giving me and my mates enough shit to throw at my friend for a good decade or so!
I am not so heartless, however, as to repost the said fanbois pic here.
By the way, that same friend's highlight of the AEE was when Briana Banks asked him if she had "worked" with him before. I didn't have the heart to make the point that being mistaken for a porn mope was not exactly a compliment.

great story Outback. i think we've all got "that one friend"- I had a similar experience with one of mine years ago at Erotica L.A. (2002, iirc), we get to the place and he's sweating it like he's picking up a girl for the first date or something- I'm thinking "WTF?"
First whore we run into is annoying Brittany Andrews, who's decided to ambush everyone at one door, to push her website glossy into everyone's hand. I say "will this really change my life?" and her big dumb 'i love lucy' robo smile is unwavering. finally we walk around her, and in her chain smoker voice she quips "well have fun jerkin off!", then my friend -finally- comes alive, countering "and you have fun aging, raisin hands". we look back and catch her glancing down at one of her hands- we about died.
He was fine after that, especially when he met Jelena Jensen and had a long convo with her about god knows what- since at that point she was a shy no-name and hadn't modeled yet, hired as booth meat for jadedvideo, iir.
