I am. I'm a little surprised actually, I thought Obama was going to run McCain right over, but he's sitting there being all polite. I woulda thought the first thing Obama would have done is to ask McCain to send a text message to someone. Then after he did that, ask McCain how he expects Americans to vote for a political party that has allowed the US to plunge into an economic depression that has the potential to be worse than the original great depression.
It's a little bit terrifying how invested I am in this and I'm not even an American.

GAAAA!!! They both suck. One was smarmy, the other one sleepy. I have to say that I was surprised by Obama: There was actually some substance there for a change. Didn't necesarily agree with it, but it wasn't the usual platitudes. Having watched it at a Union Square Bar, I've also decided that I don't dislike Obama as much as I dislike some of his supporters. Also, someone in another thread posted to the effect that the debate costs ~$5 Mil of taxpayer's money. This is actually incorrect. The debates are sponsered and produced by the Commission on Presidential Debates, "a nonprofit, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) corporation." They get their money from a variety of donors. LIST And Panzer, you have to be a citizen to vote.

I'm honestly looking forward to Biden vs Palin. I've got a feeling that Biden is going to rip Palin to shreds, and if that happens, that's probably gonna lock it up for Obama.

McCain wouldn't look at Obama at all and apparently the Spinsters are threading together parts where Obama said he agreed with McCain which was more a gentlemanly gesture that was followed by a killer jab to the old man. McCain looked like he was losing his cool at time and he aint got much to spare.

It's amazing how differently people saw this debate, I wasn't going into it rooting for anyone, but, once again Obama proved that he is all style and no substance. An empty suit with swagger and a knack at spin. He said nothing new just repeated his talking points. McCain showed he has actually done something and knows international diplomacy and that the economy is more than just a game of hoops.

After watching the debate, I think McCain won by a cunt hair's breadth, perhaps because I had such low expectations. Confidence in one's bullshit usually beats nuanced bullshit.* However, it was disconcerting to observe his inability to look at Obama. Will have stopped the chance of breeding more of your stupidity into the general American population. You now insist that there were only 3,000 conscripts. I'm guessing you meant "3,000 conscripts sent overseas." That's true, but only as a result of the Terrace Mutiny, which was triggered by King's initial determination to deploy 17,000 conscripts overseas. Soldiers refusing to be deployed to the front in wartime?
And there were still thousands of persons conscripted for duty in Canada under the NRMA.
You don't even know your own Country's history, yet you presume to lecture the US about ours?
As for mocking another nation's military, I refer you to your initial post. You were the one who mocked US troops for being conscripts.
