Legos were pretty much all I played with. All I did was build houses or buildings with them. I drew a lot back then, so it came natural to build what I drew. I was into copying houses I saw on drives on the way to places, especially modern (it was the 80s, mind you) or Tudor. I was obsessed with Legos since age 7. My grandfather was the total retired world traveler and would get me import Lego sets from different countries. One Christmas, it was the castle set only found in Denmark at the time. It was a long time before that one was released in the U.S. I think at the late age of 14, I finally stopped playing with Legos.

I never got into the Lego people. Just building pieces. How useful were the shutters, arches, doors, or the 1 pieces? VERY.
