I watched it with my special lady friend (her idea, not mine). She's a huge Lost buff, so she wanted to see if this was anything like that.
I thought it was pretty dull, and it ripped off more than a few well known properties.
X-files, obviously.
The Spiderman and Panic Room credits. (every time they used a legend to name a location)
Altered States. (sensory deprivation while under the influence of psychedelics)
Philip Dick's Ubik (the way they talk to the dead)
Terminator 2 (lady ripping of synthetic skin to expose mechanical arm)
Homage is one thing, but that's just either pure laziness or pure theft.
