Silva did try and engage. I can see his side of not wanting to rush into something that could put him in a bad spot and get finished. Though he certainly should have done something! He spent a lot of time doing nothing. Nate the great would beat him in a rematch.
That said considering Leites got a shot by winning a split decision over Nate Marquardt. (Nate was deducted 2 BS points, bad calls IMO) So if you do the math Leites got the title shot by getting his ass kicked and should have never been there in the first place.
