You know, I've been listening to Stern off and on since the mid-80's when he was on NBC. The main reason for that is because I usually can't wake up b4 noon, but after watching a recent E! show I'm like how many who's the dumbest stripper contests, Playboy evaluations, gettin' dorks laid, porn star interviews, goofy stunts can he do? Plus, they all look so slick with stylists & wardrobes it's taken a lot of the edge out of the show. Don't get me wrong, the guy's a radio genius & has made me laff for years, but now?

I always wondered how old that guy was. I am a fan, but I fucking couldn't believe he's only 50. I thought that dude was about 63.

It has been mentioned before, but it is clear that his on-air persona is very fake.

He even said last night that he is too old and doesn't like looking at naked 19 year old girls anymore. I mean, that's fine if you feel that way, but it flies in the face of his ostensible pro-porn attitude.

I used to like him because he had some good porn stars on, and still does(Corina Taylor), but it is so infrequent now.

I don't think he even watches porn.

I do, however, think Arty is hilarious.

Howard and the Swami are equal in this department.They wouldn't know good porn if it was shoved down their stupid throats.Howard Stern is the same guy that thinks Houston is all the rage.

He has the worst taste in porn whores I've ever seen. He actually had Ashley Blue on once with some other girl and he scarcely talked to Ashley.

I don't know how anybody can even listen to this jackass anymore. He started to falter years ago, when I stopped listening as a result of the show going downhill but now he has an agenda (getting bush out) and whenever howard has an agenda (whether it anti something like this one or selling something like his book or movie) forget the show, it is likely to suck. He just doesn't know when to quit, the show has seemingly 40% commercials and add all of Howard's ranting what portion is left for comedy. I think Howard is on the way out of radio and knows it, he is just killing time now

Yeah, good points fellas. Howard always goes for the Playboy & Vivid types and anything else for basicallly shock factor. He's as clueless about porn as he is about politics. Here's a guy that helped Pataki get in & now he's after Bush for some imagined connection to Clearview incident. Once he dumped his wife his ego has gone even further through the roof. I know he always played up that I'm the God of radio stuff, but now it's something more than a gimmick. There's an attitude you sense when you see Robin & him acting like megastars with these phony cultivated looks & even more unbelievable is that Stuttering Retard going to the Leno show. Jackie was annoying, but some of those other sidekicks like Benji are even more annoying than he was. If that goddamn Sal the stockbroker had won the recent contest that really would've been a death knell, but then again Howie said he was impressed & would even have him on for some bits now. It's like witnessing something great goin, goin, gone down the tubes... bye

Has anybody seen Stuttering Toilet on Leno? I now only watch Stern like for a few minutes if I surf by & see a porn star, but it was funny to watch them confront Stuttering Toilet for being a traitor, but y'know? the guy always was an ingrate.

Stern's TV show was best when it was skit oriented. His Star Trek spoof still makes me laugh to this day.

As for his radio show, I've always thought it was pretty crappy. How many times can you have strippers, porn stars, and a cast of freak show candidates before it gets old? Sure, it appeals to the lowest common denominator, but I don't think it's good radio.

I've worked in radio for close to 5 years now, and I've had strippers in my studio, and it always makes for a boring show because they rarely have anything intelligent to say. That's not always the case because you will find the occasional stripper who actually does her homework and keeps up on the issues, which the show I was co-hosting at the time was about.

I've never played the bongos on anybody's butt on-air and most likely never will *L*

Besides, who's going to take Howard Stern seriously on political matters? He's a lefty and everybody knows it.

Is Iced Earth that big? I guess they got their fans to do all the voting to get him onto the Stern show. One interesting note, this mysterious post appeared on the HS newsgroup a while back, suggesting the "contest" was not as fair as it may seem.
