In my experience the answer is yes. When I was working at a video arcade we used to get frequent visits/calls from the local law enforcement asking if we had seen so-and-so kid who had run away.
It probably will vary depending on where you live. In a real city I imagine they have other priorities but where I was living only had about 40,000 people.

OMG, my gf is a major potato freak. Her favorite food, hands down. Mashed, baked, boiled, fried; it's the only thing she ever finishes on her plate.

You know what Timothy McVeigh had for his last meal? Two pints of mint chocolate-chip ice cream. Another guy asked for 6 hot dogs and two liters of cream soda while Aileen Wuornos choose to skip her meal.
I used to be fascinated by what people had for a last meal. I don't think I could choose. I'd probably be in the middle of my meal and think "Fsck, I should've asked for something else."

Thanks Soopergrizz. I really wish that website had pictures of the inmates though. Some of the Amerikan prisons used to have these profiles and believe it or not, because I was so fascinated by this, I would print them out and make a scrap book of sorts. Even though the last meal technically isn't your last, I find the idea so haunting to be asked to choose "your last meal".

How come it is not the last meal?
