My dog hates having his picture taken. He gives you a dirty look and bails the second you turn it on. We have quite a collection of blurry pics of the back half of him getting off the couch. I really wonder what happened to him that made him hate cameras. Probably best not to know.

some dogs are just kind of shy around stuff they dont know about or too well.if you try to familiarize them with something that kind of spooks them they might warm up to it.when my dogs dont like something ill set it near them or hold it low so they can come up and look at it more closely.perfect example is one of my dogs didnt like the comb(theyre poodles)so id let him see it and smell it,then lightly brush his hair.i still have to kind of ease him into brushing but its alot easier now.the cameras a different matter though.

@Steezo that is a great picture of your cat, she doesnt look ferocious at all, she was in the middle of a yawn, she's soo beautiful, I wanted one of these for a long time, but I wont purchase any animals. If I came across one in the shelter or the Breed Specific Rescues I'd adopt it. I want a sphynx, but there arent any Breed Specifics for them in NYC, there are very very few for them. And all the ones on Craigslist are for sale after they mated the shit out of them now they are useless and willing to sell em for like 200$. I want a kitten but will take a young adult, but they are hard to come by. And I want a healthy one too, which is another thing hard to come by, Craigslist people are fuckin cuckoo.

Spaniels are pretty OK. My sister has one who hated me when they first got her. She'd just head the other direction and hide until I left. I won her over with treats. It took almost 6 months, but we're best buddies now.

i have two cockerspaniel poodles(im sure ive mentioned them),one small one and one big one.they became best friends and mates right away after we got the little guy and introduced him.there was some jealousy for a little bit after we got the lil one,so nina would shit inside the house to get negative attention even though she loved cage.but other than that they love each other and even kiss on the mouth.ive had them reeanct that scene from lady and the tramp with the pasta kiss also.so cute.

maybe your sisters dog was just kind of shy.ive heard on a tv show or read somewhere that female cockerspaniels can be picky with attention.when they want attention they want alot of it,but when they need their space theyll hang out by themselves.ive noticed this in nina even though shes only half spaniel.

another thing ive noticed about the poodles is that theyre all kisses.if i get my face anywhere near them theyll bombard me with kisses until they feel theyve kissed me enough.

Well we found an affordable, "healthy" food for fatass. At first she didn't want any part of it. Her protests were pretty funny. At one point she laid down next to her food dish, picked up a piece of kibble with her paw, dropped it on the floor, then just stared at me. I mixed a little tuna in, and she's finally starting to accept reality. Now she's eating it, but not as enthusiastically as she was eating the cheap shit. We'll see in a few months if it actually helps her lose weight.

Poor Emo Dog.

He wore a raw spot on his side where he was shaved for surgery. It was healing well, but I noticed a pea sized indentation last Wednesday and made a vet appointment, for yesterday. Well, in those six days it opened up about the size of a quarter. So, today the vet did surgery. She removed some tissue that will be tested, explored, and sewed him up with a drainage tube. While she was exploring, she felt something sharp. Turns out he has three broken ribs!

I want a healthy dog back. Poor thing is resting quietly now, those ribs must hurt, but you could never tell it from him. No idea how it happened.

Antibiotics and tramadol, and rest. I hope he is good as new in a couple months. I'm glad I decided to stay in Dayton this winter.

Falling off the wagon and kicking your pet to then not remember it after the blackout, I guess. Call the PETA tribe, someone do it.

last night one of my cockapoos(the lil one cage) kept on barking because he wanted me to get him and nina treats.but i had decided they had enough treats already,but the lil fucker wouldnt stop.so i told him if he kept it up i was gonna put him in my sweats.so i did exactly that.at first he wanted to go into the center of them and curl into a ball.but he couldnt accomplish this without stepping on my balls and tickling the shit out of them.so i nudged him towards a leg and they he slid out the other end by my ankle.it was so damn funny.i couldnt stop laughing.

So you shoved yer dog in to your sweats while they were on you? I think if you want a real party, you gotta get a tinier critter. But remember to remove the teeth and claws first, so you don't have a remake of the Sid Vicious (wrestler) and his pet squirrel incident.

Busted ribs gotta suck for a dog. How old is he? I've punted a dog a time or 2 in my youth, and never come close to cracking a rib on one.

Took my oldest cat Hobo to the vet today for shot updates and exam. Doing very well for a 14 year old cat. Sammi my 7 month old black cat goes next week for a sound neutering ! I haven't broken the news to him yet.

cats live for a long ass time.i think they can live up to 30 years old if not more.

I call dogs of all ages "pup" or "puppy". I figure its like asking a group of elderly women, "What are you girls/gals/young ladies up to?" and they all let out a lil giggle harking back to the good ole days when the term fit.

theyre actually fully grown.glad you like them though.nina looks like a big chubby puppy or bear cub and cage is like a little teddy bear.they became a poodle couple almost right after we got cage.they even kiss on the mouth and cage gets pissed off and attacks bigger male dogs that go near nina.

ill try to share some more pics this weekend.i was going to last night but the scanner was being funky and it got annoying having to restart the computer after each scan.i got sleepy too.

i want it to stop raining already so we can take down the mini picket fence that blocks the grass part of the backyard(my mom doesnt want them trailing mud in each time they go out back).or at least dry up for a few days so i can let them over the fence and they can play and eat some grass.i gotta find the tennis balls.
