It was a joke made in reference to David Joseph and Red Light District.
I distinctly remember several Fridays (paydays) when I was told I could not get a check for monies collected on my behalf from months ago, yet there would be 4-5 women in the makeup room getting ready for company-owned productions. Those women would be paid the following week....promptly. So would anyone working for David Joseph.
It's bullshit flipflam thievery shenanigans like that which make me believe business was not done fairly nor honestly at Platinum X and Red Light District.
If you worked for those companies as talent or crew, fine. God help you, though, if you invested your money into productions and expected to be paid in a timely manner....if at all.
One of the biggest debtors for uncollected debts (according to a report shown to me) was a company called Worldwide Red Light District. In other words, they were selling product to themselves and then not being able to collect it for some reason. Ooops! Better write that bad debt off the books.....
Yeah, right.
The basketball court at Mr. Joseph's house is level but he can't say the same about how he treated anyone who owned product through his companies.
