no... i had discovered xpt on my own in mid-december of 2005. i was googling 'skeeter kerkove' (of course) and landed here. first thread i read was called 'retard porn.' (i've actually bumped that before, crediting it as my first read here.) i started reading xpt pretty much daily at that point, including a lot of old stuff and particularly burg's stuff... i knew what he looked like (from the beer-drinking pic) and that he used a wheelchair. so that's how i ended up recognizing him. by the time i arrived in vegas, i knew i wanted to seek out both gia and gen padova for pics and autographs. several months after AEE, i got a myspace and got the stones to message gia, directing her to my page to see the picture we had taken together. she was super nice, btw. somehow during our back-and-forths that followed, i mentioned that i read xpt voraciously, and had registered, but didn't have the balls to post. she gave me the guts to start participating here. actually, i can pretty much guarantee that without her support, i'd still be lurking. so everyone who thinks i suck ass, blame gia! (ha)
